AS152565 — IP transit, IX ports, peering, dark fibre, L2 circuits and DDoS-protected Virtual Connect.

Peering policy

AS152565 (JOYSVC-AS-IN) has an open peering policy at the exchanges we are present on. We prefer bilateral sessions for more than 1 Gbps of traffic and route-server sessions otherwise. Both IPv4 and IPv6 sessions are welcome; we expect peers to announce only prefixes registered to them (or their customers) with valid RPKI ROAs, and we filter accordingly. We keep 394 peers today and rank #4 in India for known peers. Contact peering@joy.services with your ASN, the exchanges or facilities where you would like to peer, and expected traffic; we usually turn sessions up within a few business days.

Virtual Connect explained

Virtual Connect delivers DDoS-protected transit to a router that is not in a Joy facility. You announce your prefixes to AS152565 over a BGP session inside a GRE tunnel; the internet reaches your prefixes through Joy, attack traffic is scrubbed at our edge, and clean traffic is delivered through the tunnel to your router. It works from any provider that gives you a public IP with GRE pass-through, which makes it the fastest way for a game host, an ISP or a SaaS company to put scrubbing in front of infrastructure they already own. Minimum commit is 100 Mbps; above 1 Gbps it is priced as DDoS-protected transit.

DDoS mitigation

Scrubbing is always-on for every Joy server and for transit customers who choose the protected product. NeuroMesh NetFlow collects encrypted flow telemetry from every edge, scores anomalies in real time and triggers diversion with BGP for affected prefixes; clean traffic returns over the backbone or GRE. Volumetric floods, amplification (DNS, NTP, SSDP, memcached), SYN/ACK storms and L7 request floods are handled automatically; customers can request custom rules for game protocols and set blackhole communities for individual /32s. Mitigation events appear on the status page when they affect a component.

Automation

BGP sessions, MD5 passwords, communities and prefix filters are provisioned from the console once your order is approved: you see the session state, received and advertised prefix counts, and traffic graphs on the Network page. rDNS and RPKI ROAs are supported for your own prefixes; prefix-list updates from your AS-SET are pulled nightly. How to order

  1. Open a ticket to Sales (or use the form below) with your ASN, location, product, commit and whether you need a cross-connect or Virtual Connect.
  2. We send a quote and an LOA request for BYOIP prefixes; you send the LOA and confirm ROAs.
  3. On acceptance the session appears in the console with our side's parameters; you configure yours and we verify prefixes and turn up.
  4. Billing starts on turn-up; the first invoice is pro-rated.
