Pricing

Simple, USD-based pricing shown in USD.

Every plan includes a static IPv4, always-on DDoS filtering, a 1 Gbps port, root or Administrator access, live hypervisor stats and automated reinstalls. Windows Server adds a licence fee. Longer terms save up to 12%; hourly servers meter from your wallet.

Custom builds

Need a different shape? Build your own.

The deploy wizard has a Custom build tab with three sliders — vCPU (1–32), RAM (1–128 GB) and NVMe (20–2000 GB) — plus add-ons for extra IPv4, backup space and a 10 Gbps port. The quote updates as you drag, in your currency, and the same spec can be priced through POST /api/v1/quote.

Custom builds are billed exactly like plans: monthly, quarterly, 6-month or annual with the same discounts, or hourly from your wallet. There is no surcharge for choosing an unusual shape.

Worked example
4 vCPU
4 × $1.40 = $5.60
8 GB RAM
8 × $1.30 = $10.40
120 GB NVMe
120 × $0.06 = $7.20
Monthly
$23.20 ($0.032/hour)
Annual
$20.42/mo, billed $244.99

Add-ons explained

Extra IPv4 addresses
Up to 8 additional addresses per server from the same regional pool, routed to the same interface. Each carries its own reverse DNS record. Add them at deploy time or later from the server's Network tab; they are released when the server is destroyed.
Backup space
Off-node backup storage in 10 GB steps, used by scheduled full-VM backups you configure from the console. Snapshots (fast, on the same NVMe) are free but are not backups — see the snapshots guide.
10 Gbps port
Upgrades the virtual NIC and host uplink share from 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps for CDN origins, backup targets and game servers with large player counts. Transfer allowance is unchanged; overage is billed at the regional rate shown on your invoice.
Windows licence
Windows Server 2019/2022/2025 templates carry a per-month licence charge (SPLA), shown on the plan card and invoice. Reinstalling from Windows to Linux removes the charge on the next cycle; the other direction adds it.
Billing cycles & discounts

Pay for a month or a year — or by the hour.

Discounts are applied to the whole invoice, including Windows licences and add-ons. Change cycle at any renewal from the server's Billing tab.

Monthly

One invoice per month, due 7 days after issue. Renewal reminders go out 7 days before the due date; auto-renew can pay from your wallet.

Quarterly -3%

One invoice covering 3 months at 3% off the monthly price. The discount is shown as a separate line so accounting can see the list price.

6 Months -6%

One invoice covering 6 months at 6% off the monthly price. The discount is shown as a separate line so accounting can see the list price.

Annual -12%

One invoice covering 12 months at 12% off the monthly price. The discount is shown as a separate line so accounting can see the list price.

Currency

Set in USD, shown in yours

Prices are defined in US dollars and converted at the displayed rate — you are seeing USD. Invoices are issued in your account currency; Indian customers are billed in INR via Razorpay with GST. The base USD amount is printed on every invoice for reference.

Payment methods

Pay the way you want

UPI, Indian cards and net banking through Razorpay; international cards and PayPal; Bitcoin and Lightning through BTCPay. Wallet top-ups from $2.00. Card numbers never touch Joy servers.

Due dates

What happens if I'm late?

Invoices are due 7 days after issue. Servers are suspended 3 days after the due date (data intact) and terminated 14 days after the due date. Expiry automation only affects billing-managed services; wallet-metered servers stop when the wallet reaches zero.

What's included

No hidden line items.

  • Static IPv4 with reverse DNS you control
  • Always-on DDoS filtering (L3–L7) on AS152565
  • 1 Gbps port and the plan's monthly transfer allowance
  • Root / Administrator access; passwords shown in the console only
  • Automated reinstall between Ubuntu 22.04 / 24.04 and Windows Server 2019 / 2022 / 2025
  • Free NVMe snapshots (create, roll back, delete) from the console or API
  • Live CPU, RAM and network graphs straight from the hypervisor
  • noVNC console, power controls and password reset via the guest agent
  • REST API v1 with scoped Bearer tokens — everything the console can do
  • 24/7 help desk with email replies and a public status page

Billing FAQ

Everything about paying Joy.

Which currencies can I pay in?
Prices are set in USD and converted live. Indian customers pay in INR via Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking). International customers can use PayPal, cards or crypto. Your invoice is issued in your account currency and shows the USD base.
Is there hourly billing?
Yes — choose "Hourly (wallet)" at checkout and the server is metered from your wallet every hour. Destroy it any time and pay only for the hours used. Stopped servers still reserve disk and IP and are still metered.
Do you charge tax?
GST at 18% applies to customers in India and is itemised on the invoice; add your GSTIN in Billing → Profile to have it printed. Other countries are billed without tax unless local law requires it.
Can I get an invoice for my company?
Yes. Fill in the company name, address and tax ID under Billing → Profile; every invoice and receipt is generated as a PDF with those details and can be downloaded from the console or fetched via GET /api/v1/invoices.
Refunds?
Unused wallet credit is refundable within 7 days of top-up. Provisioned servers are non-refundable unless we fail to deliver the service. See the Refund policy.
Can I upgrade or downgrade later?
Upgrades (more vCPU/RAM/disk) are applied live where the hypervisor allows it and pro-rated on the next invoice. Disk downgrades require a reinstall; open a ticket and we will plan it with you.
What is the wallet?
A prepaid USD balance on your account. Hourly servers meter from it, invoices can be paid from it in one click, and auto-renew uses it. Top up from $2.00; gift-card codes are credited to it too.
Do prices change?
Plan prices are fixed for the term you have paid. If list prices change, existing services renew at the new price only after 30 days' notice in the Updates feed and by email.
